Frequently asked questions
A KRA is a grouping of related outputs and indicators that together describe a major area of responsibility for a unit or individual. KRAs sit between an organisational strategic objective and the specific indicators that measure it.
Each KRA is delivered through one or more outputs. Outputs are what gets produced; the KRA is the area of responsibility that ties outputs to a strategic objective.
Employee workplans typically have 4–6 KRAs. Each KRA contains specific outputs and indicators that form the basis for performance assessment.
